EWG-DSS Springer LNBIP Open Call for Papers 2014

Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP)

Open Call for Papers based

Main subject:

“Information and Knowledge Management in Decision Processes”

LNBIP is abstracted/indexed in ISI Proceedings, DBLP, EI and Scopus.

Nowadays there is enough evidence about the high abundance of available resources for both private within any organization and public, mainly through the Web. As already mentioned by Naisbitt in 1982: “We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge” (Megatrends, 1982).   Hearing this frequent complaint could give the image of knowledge as the ultimate goal to reach. Indeed it is an important one; but as data, plenty of information and knowledge do not suffice to support better decision-makers on their decision-making processes. The aim of this book is to collect and investigate good practices and processes to manage information and knowledge in order to turn them into an efficient support for decision-makers in enterprises.

Continuing the successful previous LNBIP Springer series editions from the EWGDSS group (LNBIP vol. 121, 167 and 184), the main topic of the current edition is “Information and Knowledge Management in Decision Process“.

This open LNBIP series edition will collect high quality fresh papers, which cover academic, practitioners and enterprises’ points of views on real problems and issues, for Decision Processes supported by Systems Managing Information and Knowledge. Hence subject as: Decision-Making using Web Resources and Social Network, Technical, Legal and Social aspects of Information Management, Knowledge Extraction and Representation, Group Knowledge Sharing and Management, Business Intelligence are particularly welcome. In addition, real applications are highly expected.
