Call for Papers – EURO XXIV – Stream: Decision Support Systems


Lisbon – July 11-14, 2010
EXTENDED Deadline for Abstracts: March 22nd, 2010

The 24th European Conference on Operational Research, EURO XXIV, will take place in Lisbon from July 11th to 14th, 2010. The Programme and Organising Committee are preparing a high quality academic programme of the Conference. In addition to this, you will have an excellent opportunity to exploit the city of Lisbon! As the organizers of the Stream of Decision Support Systems, we would like to invite you: researchers, practitioners, as well as students working in the areas of decision making, analysis and decision support to participate at this Conference and to submit your work to this stream. Topics concerning the areas listed below are of particular interest in this stream. In order to submit your abstract in the conference site, you need to enter the specific sessions’ codes given below.

Contributors are requested to submit their Abstracts (no more than 600 characters) in English (no formulas or mathematical notations are allowed), via the Abstract Submission page of the Conference web-site , where the information about the submission procedure can be found. Notice that each attendee is allowed to present one paper at the conference.

Please keep us informed about your contributions, by sending us a copy of your submitted papers via e-mail (Pascale Zarate & Fatima Dargam), in order to ease the organisation of the stream sessions. Thanks!

About ewgdss

The EWG-DSS is a Working Group on Decision Support Systems within EURO, the Association of the European Operational Research Societies. The main purpose of the EWG-DSS is to establish a platform for encouraging state-of-the-art high quality research and collaboration work within the DSS community. Other aims of the EWG-DSS are to: - Encourage the exchange of information among practitioners, end-users, and researchers in the area of Decision Systems. - Enforce the networking among the DSS communities available and facilitate activities that are essential for the start-up of international cooperation research and projects. - Facilitate professional academic and industrial opportunities for its members. - Favour the development of innovative models, methods and tools in the field Decision Support and related areas. - Actively promote the interest on Decision Systems in the scientific community by organizing dedicated workshops, seminars, mini-conferences and conference streams in major conferences, as well as editing special and contributed issues in relevant scientific journals.
